* History:

Joe’s interest in athletics started in an unconventional manner; his initial foray into exercise was through skateboarding. This dynamic physical activity resulted in injuries and thus physical therapy for Joe on more than one occasion, but as a positive result he became intrigued with the rehabilitation process. He took what he knew to the gym and began to train with injury prevention in mind. After several years of training and learning as much as he could on the subject through working at numerous gyms and volunteering at a physical therapy clinic Joe realized his passion for fitness and became a certified Personal Trainer. Joe’s main focus these days is less about skateboarding and is more dedicated to training in the martial arts.  In the summer of 08′ Joe took a five month leave to train in Muay Thai Kickboxing in Thailand and Gong Fu and Tai Ji in China.

Joe started his career in Personal Training at the prestigious Rivers Club in downtown Pittsburgh, PA. A penchant for additional training education and experience led Joe to New York City, where he’s been training at Equinox Fitness Clubs since 2004. Since then Joe has quickly moved through the ranks, being one of Equinox’s most sought-after trainers. His expertise varies from weight loss, lean mass gain, sport specific, etc. His unique system raises the bar in aiding clients to reach their goals; combining classic and functional resistance training theory and equipment.

Joe truly believes/subscribes to the methodology of complete fitness and health through client dedication insuring success. A change in thought, ritual and habit in work out methods, stress management, eating and sleeping are essential to positive results/change. Joe envisions the best for his clients and coaches them to reach their desired effects in a timely and efficient manner. He is flexible with location and schedules for one-on-one and group training sessions, be it in a private club, apartment building, or even at a park. For more information and rates please email.
